A dream on the 'someday' list
Texas licensing coursework
Of coaching and accountability
Into purposeful work
"I was in a state of unease. I felt unfulfilled in my last CSM role and needed guidance to help me find my way back to work that was fulfilling." - Jenall
Jenall came to coaching with a practical goal: return to the workforce after time away and find a Senior Customer Success role that truly fit. She did not want just any job. She wanted a company whose mission she believed in, a product she could stand behind and work aligned with her values, strengths and sense of purpose. The SaaS market had changed since she had last searched. She wanted a thought partner who could bring clarity, structure and accountability to the process.
Her face lit up. She described the joy of helping people through one of life's most personal and emotional milestones: buying or selling a home. It echoed what she loved about great Customer Success - being present, trusted and useful when the outcome truly matters. This was not a passing interest. It was a dream she had carried for 17 years, tucked away as a 'someday' side-hustle idea.
Emma asked: "What is stopping you from doing it now?"
"Fear. Fear of judgement from my peers. Fear of the unknown. Fear of change! " - Jenall
The fear was not evidence that the dream was wrong. It was evidence that the change mattered.
"Emma kept pointing out strengths I would normally just shrug off" - Jenall
Once real estate moved from 'someday' to 'now', the coaching shifted from job-search support to licensing, mindset and follow-through. Texas required 180 hours of coursework, studying, a state exam and broker sponsorship. Jenall's first three-month timeline proved too tight, and technical problems with the licensing system created further delays. The challenge was not motivation. Jenall was deeply committed. The work was to build enough structure to support the goal, while developing enough flexibility to keep going when the structure was disrupted.

Creating consistent forward motion
Protecting time and energy
Learning to notice progress
Planning with her capacity
Examining actions, fear and doubt
Jenall's natural instinct was to hold tightly to the original plan. When delays, changing requirements and competing priorities got in the way, it hit hard. Together, she and Emma created a new identity: 'Flexible Jenall' - the version of her who could adjust the plan without abandoning the goal.
- The principle behind 'Flexible Jenall'
That adaptability did more than get her through licensing. It became preparation for the reality of building a career in real estate.

"OMG! Life is different in every way! My work has a purpose that is larger than me."
- Jenall
Jenall now walks arm in arm with people navigating major life changes. She leaves her home office almost every day, builds relationships face to face and brings nearly 15 years of Customer Success instincts into a deeply human profession. She is creating repeatable systems, sharing useful insights on YouTube and building towards a future where she can grow a team and help other agents find more freedom. Her next goal is intentionally personal: make more time for family and friends while building the business.
"You know that old saying, 'Find a job you love and you'll never work a day in your life'? I used to think it was a nice idea for other people. Now I live it."
- Jenall
You may not need a completely new life. You may need space to hear yourself clearly, recognise the evidence in your own story and turn 'someday' into a supported, workable plan.
